The Journalistic Clusterfuck at Vogue Continues

Some of you will recall the much-maligned puff piece in Vogue on the Syrian Assads. With all (most) traces wiped, you would think that all was said and done. But as The New Republic’s Amy Sullivan reveals, the original author of the article, Joan Juliet Buck, still does not know to call it quits and has written a Newsweek article entitled “Mrs. Assad Duped Me”.

As Sullivan does a fine job of showing in her article, Buck just doesn’t know when to stop digging her journalistic hole. And Vogue come out of this looking worse than before.

In the future, you probably shouldn’t be “reading Vogue for the articles”.
